The Encircled
To the left are the left, who believe that if everyone co-operates and collaborates all will be perfect.
To the right are the right, who believe that if everybody competes the best will win and this is perfect.
To the north are the anarchists, who believe without laws, we can all decide freely, and that is perfect.
To the south are the authoritarians, who believe that all must obey the law, their law will be perfect.
In the centre,
Enticed and encircled, ridiculed and radicalised, seduced and scorned, tempted and threatened,
are the people.
They fight to survive, to resist the push and pull of foolish fringes.
Too busy for dreams of utopian perfection.
They know in their hearts only One solution ends ALL life’s problems.
They wisely try to avoid it.
